Itinerary

Day 1: Arba Minch – Dorze Village – Konso

• Pick up from Arba Minch Airport or hotel.

• Visit the Dorze tribe, known for their beehive-shaped houses and traditional weaving.

• Continue to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its terraced agriculture and wooden grave markers (waka).

• Overnight in Konso.

Day 2: Konso – Jinka (via Key Afer Market on market days)

• Drive to Jinka, the gateway to the lower Omo Valley.

• Stop at Key Afer Market (Thursday only), where multiple tribes like Ari, Benna, and Tsemay gather.

• Arrive in Jinka and check in.

• Optional visit to the South Omo Research Center and Museum.

• Overnight in Jinka.

Day 3: Jinka – Mago National Park – Mursi Tribe – Turmi

• Early morning drive to Mago National Park.

• Visit the Mursi tribe, known for the women’s lip plates and intricate scarification.

• Continue to Turmi, home of the Hamer people.

• Overnight in Turmi.

Day 4: Turmi – Karo Tribe – Hamer Village

• Morning excursion to Karo village by the Omo River — famed for body painting and decorative traditions.

• Return to Turmi and explore Hamer culture, possibly witnessing a bull-jumping ceremony (if available).

• Overnight in Turmi.

Day 5: Turmi – Arbore Tribe – Arba Minch

• Visit the Arbore tribe, known for their friendly nature and unique clothing styles.

• Scenic drive back to Arba Minch.

• Overnight in Arba Minch.

Day 6: Boat Trip on Lake Chamo – Departure

• Morning boat trip on Lake Chamo to spot crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species.

• Transfer to Arba Minch Airport for departure or optional extension.
