Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa and Drive to Arba Minch
- Upon your arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, our representative will meet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel.
- After a brief rest, we will start our journey towards Arba Minch, a picturesque town located in the Great Rift Valley.
- En route, we will visit the Tiya UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its ancient stelae.
- Upon reaching Arba Minch, we will check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Explore Arba Minch and Dorze Village
- After breakfast, we will embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo, where we can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
- Next, we will visit the Dorze Village, known for its unique bamboo houses and traditional weaving techniques.
- We will have the opportunity to interact with the friendly Dorze people and learn about their rich cultural heritage.
- In the evening, we will return to our hotel in Arba Minch for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Discover the Tribes of Omo Valley
- Today, we will drive to Jinka, the gateway to the Omo Valley.
- Along the way, we will visit the Konso Village, known for its terraced hillsides and traditional agricultural practices.
- In Jinka, we will visit the South Omo Research Center and Museum to gain insights into the diverse tribes of the region.
- We will also have the chance to interact with the local communities, such as the Hamar, Mursi, and Karo tribes, known for their unique customs and traditions.
- In the evening, we will check into our hotel in Jinka for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Mago National Park and Turmi
- After breakfast, we will drive to Mago National Park, home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, and various bird species.
- We will embark on a game drive through the park, enjoying the stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.
- After the game drive, we will continue our journey to Turmi, a vibrant town known for its weekly markets and traditional ceremonies.
- We will have the opportunity to witness the fascinating bull-jumping ceremony of the Hamar tribe, a rite of passage for young men.
- In the evening, we will check into our hotel in Turmi for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Karo Tribe and Omorate
- After breakfast, we will visit the Karo tribe, known for their body painting and intricate scarification patterns.
- We will have the chance to interact with the Karo people and learn about their unique cultural practices.
- Next, we will drive to Omorate, a town located on the banks of the Omo River, where we will visit the Dassanech tribe.
- We will learn about their traditional way of life and witness their unique customs.
- In the evening, we will return to our hotel in Turmi for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Return to Addis Ababa
- After breakfast, we will start our journey back to Addis Ababa, stopping for lunch en route.
- Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, we will transfer you to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of the tour.
